Date: 05/01/2025

Northern Light Mercy Hospital has received another ‘A’ grade for meeting the highest safety standards in the country according to The Leapfrog Foundation’s spring hospital safety report. Leapfrog assigns grades to hospitals across the country based on over 30 performance measures, updating grades twice annually.

Mercy, following the latest evidence-based guidelines, protects patients by maintaining high hand hygiene standards, reducing infection risks, communicating clearly, rounding frequently, and, most importantly, providing high quality, compassionate care.

“Mercy has a long-embedded culture of patient safety,” said Karen Chandler, VP of Nursing at Mercy Hospital. “This ongoing recognition is the result of incredible work done by teams across our organization every day.”
